As part of this effort, we are looking for an enthusiastic Data Science Intern to join our team for a summer internship. Position Overview

As a Data Science Intern, you will assist in developing innovative data strategies and machine learning algorithms that optimize domain-specific AI models. You will work closely with the data science team to improve model accuracy, ensure data privacy, and help design scalable, high-performance AI models. This internship will provide exposure to real-world data science challenges in AI and offer a chance to learn from experienced professionals in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Strategy & Management :
  • Assist in processing and cleaning domain-specific datasets to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Contribute to the development of data pipelines and frameworks for analyzing large datasets.
  • Collaborate with the team to extract value from industry-specific data for model training and optimization.
  • Privacy & Compliance :
  • Help ensure that data collection, processing, and model training comply with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Assist in developing privacy-preserving techniques such as federated learning and differential privacy.
  • Model Training & Accuracy Improvement :
  • Contribute to research on advanced machine learning algorithms for improving the accuracy and efficiency of AI models.
  • Assist with applying techniques like distillation, transfer learning, and model compression to optimize AI models for specific domains.
  • Client Engagement & Domain Expertise :
  • Support client engagement efforts by understanding data needs and helping create AI models that meet specific business objectives.
  • Help communicate complex data science concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • TCO Optimization :
  • Collaborate with technical teams to optimize model training, data processing, and inference for reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Explore cost-efficient data utilization strategies while maintaining model performance and accuracy.
  • Research & Innovation :
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in machine learning, AI, and data science.
  • Assist in evaluating new techniques, algorithms, and architectures for enhancing domain-specific AI models.

Qualifications

  • Education : Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience :
  • Strong interest in machine learning, AI, and data science.
  • Familiarity with data processing tools and techniques (e.g., Python, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and optimization techniques.
  • Exposure to privacy issues, compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and ethical AI is a plus.
  • Skills & Expertise :
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with large-scale data cleaning, transformation, and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data science concepts to both technical and non-technical teams.
