Wripple's airline client is looking for a Social Media Community Specialist to help foster and connect the brand to social communities across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Discord and beyond. This is a 40 hour/week, 12-month contract with extensions. You need to be able to go onsite to the client 2 days/week in south Atlanta.

From showing up in the comments in fun, meaningful ways to strategically informing community-first approaches to social campaigns, you’ll be responsible for being the human voice behind the brand across channels. This job isn’t handling complaints or delivering customer care, it’s shaping the future of the brand one reply at a time.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of community strategy and execution for organic and paid social media campaigns laddering up to big brand programs
• Surface trends within targeted communities, developing insights and opportunities to help make social campaign briefs audience-first
• Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to bring strategic social engagement approaches and best practices to projects
• Be the voice of the brand with people on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook (including Facebook Groups), creating replies for targeted audiences to build brand love, reinforce values and drive relevancy during meaningful moments
• Identify and act on opportunities to make the brand a conversation-starter through social listening, influencer engagement, and trending conversations
• Host social community events and activations, bringing the brand's message to the people it’ll resonate the with through impactful experiences
• Help moderate brand-owned social communities for program members, operating as the face of the brand to grow and elevate member recognition and advocacy

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• You have 3-5 years’ experience building a brand’s social community (client or agency). Could be for a Fortune 100 brand or scrappy start-up
• You care about people and have a deep belief that social and travel can be used to lift up diverse communities
• Your writing is 10/10. You can string a sentence together that sounds like you’d say it to a friend, and you’ve got a strong track record on doing that on social. You also love a deadline, so coming up with replies is as easy as having a conversation
• You’re organized and can turn good process into great process
• You’ve got a pulse on sports and entertainment culture, because you’re in those communities and are up on the latest thing making the rounds
• You’re fluent in GIF, meme, and emoji and can explain to people who just figured out 🔥
• You start your day scrolling feeds, spotting trends and sometimes going full FBI agent (bc you love running down a viral story)
• You’re curious. You ask questions. You nerd out on numbers. But mostly, you just want to find the why behind trends and community behaviors
