Job Description

As a member of the AIC Hotel Group team, the Public Relations Coordinator will support the department’s efforts across media relations, influencer partnerships, and social media. In this role, you will assist with creating media contact lists, vetting influencer requests, building monthly reports and assisting with social media strategies. This is an entry-level position that offers a great opportunity to build experience in PR and social media.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, creative and general support for overall public relations department needs, including media monitoring and clipping, project coordination, etc
  • Draft and distribute monthly media coverage reports to key stakeholders across the company and other corporate entities 
  • Draft and distribute monthly coverage reports for each influencer visit highlighting their posted content and analytics including: engagement, likes, comments, interactions and estimated media value (EMV)
  • Regularly update projects list, press trips grid, editorial calendars and more
  • Create media lists
  • Update press materials as needed
  • Process prize letter requests
  • Vet all incoming influencer leads
  • Assist with the coordination of media FAMs, individual media visits, influencer trips, influencer FAMs and brand trips
  • Create social media content to support the Field Sales team and AIC Hotel Group’s network of travel advisors
  • Support the strategy behind AIC Hotel Group’s social media presence and actively contribute ideas that showcase a balanced mix of both company culture and the hotels in the company’s portfolio 
  • Travel internationally as needed to support on site events and initiatives (influencer FAMs, brand events, etc.)
  • Perform other related tasks assigned to support the PR Department

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • General understanding of public relations, social media, and influencer marketing 
  • Highly developed communication skills are a must, including writing, copywriting, verbal and presentation skills
  • Social media proficiency and creativity across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok at a minimum
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Build and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels, including working well as part of a team
  • Flexibility in approach to working hours (including evenings and weekends) to allow full involvement in some projects or events
  • Be able to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Creative, proactive, punctual and forward-thinking
  • International travel requirement = 15%
