Mechanical Designer (Piping / Equipment Layout)

Charlotte, North Carolina (Commutable from: South Carolina, Belmont, Huntersville, Mint Hill, Matthews, Fort Mill)

Are you a Mechanical Designer from a Piping or Equipment Layout background, looking to play a key role an industry-leading organization, offering specialist training and progression all the way to senior level?

In this role, you'll support facility and piping layout design within a small, focused R&D team. You’ll create and modify drawing packages using AutoCAD and Inventor, working closely with engineers to implement designs in full-scale industrial plants. Occasional travel is required for site measurements and design validation, with rare week-long domestic trips included.

This role would suit a Mechanical Designer from a Piping or Equipment Layout background, looking to join an innovative organization, offering specialist training on a range of bespoke design packages, progression to senior level and a hybrid working schedule.

The Role:

  • Support facility and piping layout design within a small, focused R&D team
  • Create and modify drawing packages using AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Occasional travel, with rare week-long domestic trips included

The Person:

  • Mechanical Designer
  • Experience with designing any of the following: piping, equipment layout, utilities, plant layout, skids, heavy equipment, pressure vessels
  • Looking to receive specialist training on bespoke design packages and progress to senior level
