Akkodis is seeking a Horticulture Project Manager for a 12-month contract with a client in Philadelphia PA 19103.

Contract: 12 months Contract

Pay Rate: $45-50/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Job Description:

This is a Field-based Project Manager role supporting client, requiring experience in vegetation management, horticulture, and field operations. The candidate will perform site inspections, vendor oversight, and support project execution involving tree services, landscaping, and commercial vehicle operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field site inspections to ensure compliance with vegetation and landscaping standards.
• Perform safety checks and verify adherence to protocols.
• Interface with and manage external vendors ; resolve or escalate issues to senior management.
• Coordinate and oversee tree services and landscaping projects across multiple locations.
• Ensure safe operation and use of commercial vehicles ; must have valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle .
• Utilize GIS web applications and tools for site mapping and documentation.
• Attend project meetings and collaborate with internal teams using MS Teams and Office Suite .
• Support operational tasks and respond to field-related challenges.
• Travel locally to various sites across the region.
• May involve some overtime during peak project periods or urgent escalations.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Background in vegetation management , horticulture , or arboriculture .
• Proven experience in field project management or related field oversight roles.
• Strong knowledge of tree services and landscaping operations .
• Familiarity with commercial vehicle use , safety standards, and basic maintenance practices.
• Effective communicator with ability to resolve vendor-related issues and escalate as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Teams and MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Familiar with GIS/web-based applications for field documentation.

Certifications (Nice to Have):

• ISA Certified Arborist credential or other relevant industry certifications.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle .
• Comfortable with local travel across multiple job sites.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed based on project demands.
