Job Description
As the Agency Director at Crown Jewel Marketing, you will be the driving force behind our boutique agency’s operations, client relationships, and strategic growth. Reporting directly to the Founder/CEO, you’ll shape the future of the agency by:
- Leading & Managing overall agency operations—ensuring excellence in project delivery, client satisfaction, and team development.
- Building Strategic Relationships with clients, vendors, and partners—serving as a trusted advisor and the “face” of the agency.
- Driving Growth & Innovation by identifying new revenue streams, refining processes, and harnessing emerging technologies (including AI) to create exceptional outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Below is an approximate breakdown of how your time and focus may be allocated. However, agency life is dynamic; percentages are guidelines, not rigid structures.
1. Agency Leadership & Vision (≈20%)
Strategic Direction
- Collaborate with the Founder/CEO to set agency objectives, revenue targets, and overall market positioning.
- Spearhead new initiatives that elevate our offerings—whether in digital marketing, automation, AI, or creative strategy.
Operational Oversight
- Establish and optimize internal processes, from project intake and scoping to delivery and client follow-up.
- Monitor agency metrics (profitability, client retention, team capacity) and report insights to leadership.
Change Management & Innovation
- Identify trends in marketing, tech, and AI; champion the adoption of new tools, platforms, and processes that drive efficiency and growth.
- Communicate changes clearly and effectively to the team and clients.
2. Strategic Account Management (≈25%)
Client Onboarding & Relationship Building
- Serve as the agency’s primary liaison for key accounts—welcoming new clients, setting expectations, and establishing trust from day one.
- Conduct high-level discovery sessions to uncover each client’s goals, challenges, and opportunities.
Leadership in Communication
- Present marketing strategies, creative campaigns, and growth plans in a compelling manner.
- Set and enforce appropriate boundaries—knowing when and how to say “no” and steer clients toward the right solutions.
3. Project & Operations Management (≈30%)
Project Planning & Delivery
- Oversee project scopes and schedules across the entire portfolio, ensuring milestones are met and quality standards upheld.
- Maintain active visibility into all client projects, adjusting priorities and resources as needed.
Team Coordination
- Lead daily or weekly check-ins with the creative, digital, and implementation teams to remove blockers, assign tasks, and keep everyone aligned.
- Manage capacity planning—knowing when to hire contractors or additional team members.
Quality Assurance & Reporting
- Serve as a final checkpoint on major deliverables (websites, branding, campaigns) before client handover.
- Track KPIs and present progress reports to clients—ensuring they see tangible value from our partnership.
4. Marketing Execution & Oversight (≈25%)
Hands-On Campaign Support
- As needed, roll up your sleeves to build email campaigns, social posts, or marketing funnels using platforms like GoHighLevel, HubSpot, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with design, copywriting (AI-based or otherwise), and media-buying resources to bring campaigns to life.
AI & Automation
- Leverage AI-driven solutions (e.g., ChatGPT) to streamline processes and enhance creative output.
- Identify repetitive tasks that can be automated, freeing up human resources for higher-level thinking.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 5+ Years Experience in Marketing/Agency Leadership: Proven track record managing client relationships, leading projects, and guiding cross-functional teams in an agency or fast-paced environment.
- Strategic Vision & Execution: Ability to develop high-level marketing strategies that align with client goals—and the organizational savvy to implement them effectively.
- Project Management Mastery: Competent in both Agile and Waterfall approaches; comfortable using tools like Basecamp, Asana, Trello, or similar. Adept at juggling multiple accounts and shifting priorities.
- AI Tools & Automation: Experience with ChatGPT (or similar) to accelerate copywriting, concepting, and marketing workflows. Eagerness to explore and implement new tech that elevates our capabilities.
- Exceptional Communication: Polished in presentations, negotiations, and stakeholder management—whether with C-level decision-makers or frontline teams. Skilled in conflict resolution and in presenting “tough love” to clients when needed.
- Leadership & Soft Skills: Intuitive, resourceful, and empathetic—able to read between the lines and quickly pivot strategies. Strong interpersonal EQ; able to build trust and rapport with a diverse group of personalities.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Able to structure processes and documentation that keep projects on track and clients informed. Catches small errors before they become large-scale issues.

- Competitive Salary : $80,000+ (commensurate with experience and skill level).
