Maintenance Superintendent - Strategic Operations Leader

We are seeking a seasoned maintenance professional to lead and optimize site-wide maintenance operations at a complex industrial facility. This role is pivotal in driving safety, reliability, and operational excellence across multiple technical disciplines, including electrical & instrumentation, rotating equipment, mechanical systems, and turnaround planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion site-wide EHS compliance and foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
• Provide strategic leadership to cross-functional maintenance teams, ensuring alignment with operational goals and long-term asset reliability.
• Oversee execution of daily maintenance activities and lead the development of preventive and predictive maintenance programs .
• Utilize advanced CMMS platforms to manage workflows, track performance metrics, and coordinate contractor activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of maintenance strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives , leveraging data analytics and emerging technologies to enhance equipment uptime and reduce costs.
• Lead budgeting, resource planning, and workforce development, including technician training and progression programs.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory codes, and best practices in mechanical integrity and design safety.
• Support turnaround planning and execution, ensuring readiness, efficiency, and minimal disruption to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in maintenance, engineering, or planning within a heavy industrial or chemical manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience in supervising multidisciplinary teams and managing complex maintenance operations.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a track record of solving technical challenges and improving asset performance.
• Proficiency in CMMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance principles is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across departments and levels.
• Physically capable of navigating industrial environments (e.g., climbing stairs, confined spaces, lifting up to 50 lbs).
