Job Description

We are seeking a detailed-oriented and customer-focused Licensing Administrator to support the State of Arizona within the field of medicine and surgery.

In this role you will serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries related to medical licensure and permit processes. You will guide applicants, healthcare professionals through the licensing procedures, ensuring compliance with state regulations and providing timely, accurate information.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of Arizona’s medical licensing system and supporting the state’s commitment to high standards in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and verifying the education and qualification of individuals apply for a license or permit to practice.
  • Process Fingerprint cards and background checks.
  • Issuing initial licenses and Post-Graduate Training Certificates.
  • Providing public information regarding licensure upon request.
  • Ensure that the process is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Processing and reviewing applications.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all inquiries regarding licensure and the process to obtain a license or permit.
  • Primary verbal and written support to the public (in-person, telephone or email).
