Job title: Java Backend Developer Phoenix AZ Hybrid 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
Duration: Fulltime
Experience: 5–8 years of hands-on experience in backend technologies, including Java Spring Boot, Node.js, and microservices architecture.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot and Node.js (Express.js/NestJS).
2. Architect and optimize database solutions for relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) systems to ensure performance and data integrity.
3. Implement robust security practices, including authentication, authorization, and secure data handling across services.
4. Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure seamless development and delivery workflows.
5. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, and best engineering practices.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize backend services for stability.
7. Participate in code reviews and mentorship, sharing best practices and guiding junior team members toward high-quality outcomes.
8. Contribute to architecture and technology decisions, working as a team player with strong communication skills in a Phoenix-based collaborative environment.
