Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cycle Counter to join our team at a dynamic food and beverage manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory levels across both our warehouse and plant operations. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, manufacturing workflows, effective communication, time management and the importance of inventory integrity in a food-safe environment.

Essential Inventory Control Cycle Counter Duties :

• Monitor and control inventory integrity via the count of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials on a daily basis
• Maintain product identification and location system
• Ensure materials are in proper location via searches of misclassified inventory
• Research & report inventory discrepancies to supervision and make recommendations on process improvements
• Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed via root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies
• Responsible for completing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations
• Track and report a non-conforming product
• Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
• Document damaged product
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
• Other duties as assigned by management

Inventory Control Cycle Counter Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written skills
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be computer literate
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data
• Must possess computer skills with regard to Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, Outlook
• Must possess strong mobile technology skills
• Recent experience with Cycle counting/inventory
• Certified to operate forklift/reach truck a plus, or must be able to pass the forklift & scissor lift certification tests and operate this equipment on a daily basis
• Ensure proper and full-time use of PPE
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as part of the job function
• Ability to work extended hours/overtime as needed as well as some Saturday
• Strong Time Management

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8–10 hours per shift) across warehouse and production floor environments
• Frequently required to bend, reach, squat, and stoop to access inventory on various shelf levels
• Requires frequent use of hands and arms for scanning, tagging, writing, and data entry
• Ability to work in variable temperature environments, including refrigerated or warm areas depending on the section of the plant or warehouse
• Must be able to navigate tight or congested areas safely while maintaining awareness of forklift and production traffic
• May be exposed to loud noises, moving machinery, and food-grade chemicals in accordance with plant safety standards
• Must be comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, hairnets, gloves, and hearing protection

Weight Lifting/Exertion:

• Under 1/3: Up to 100 lbs.
• 1/3 to 2/3: Up to 50 lbs.
