A Host is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for presenting exceptional customer service to ensure the guests’ first impression of the restaurant is a positive one.
Responsibilities:Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a genuine smile and positive attitude
Engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and respond promptly to any inquiries or concerns
Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant promotions to provide accurate information to guests
Handle guest complaints or issues professionally or bring them to the manager when necessary
Assist with running food, delivering and/or refilling guests’ drinks
Guide guests to their tables and present them with menus
Take to-go orders over the phone and in person
Engage with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service
Refill drinks and clear plates as needed during guest’s dining experience
Provide great customer service
Provide highchairs and other requested items to the guest
Responsibilities include complying with all federal and state laws, including the FLSA tip regulations regarding tip reporting, sharing, and minimum wage requirements
1 year of restaurant experience preferred
Organizational skills
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Positive attitude
Work well in a team environment
Ability to multitask
Availability on weekdays, weekends, nights, mornings, and holidays
Must be able to read and write in English and handle math calculations
