In the field of Electrical Engineering, our expertise includes evaluating electrical products, components, and systems; investigating electrical injuries and electrocutions; assessing damage caused by water; and analyzing electrical artifacts related to fires and explosions. We are dedicated to providing clients with accurate, thorough, and objective forensic evaluations.

Role: Forensic Electrical Engineer (Full-Time)

We are seeking a full-time Forensic Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves conducting forensic investigations of electrical systems, fires, and explosions in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, as well as vehicles and equipment. While relocation to our Wentzville, MO office is preferred, we’re open to remote arrangements for candidates with proven experience in the forensic engineering industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Examining electrical causes of fire and explosion events
  • Analyzing electrical systems and components involved in incidents
  • Investigating electrical injuries and electrocutions
  • Assessing equipment damage due to water intrusion
  • Conducting evidence analysis and testing using advanced forensic tools and techniques to determine root cause
  • Preparing detailed technical reports
  • Providing expert witness testimony when needed
  • Collaborating directly with clients to ensure accurate and unbiased findings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose failures
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
  • Forensic engineering experience is a plus
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) certification preferred
