Position Overview: We’re seeking a driven and strategic executive to join our Agency Sales team. In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for selling Nielsen’s Audience Measurement products and services to advertising agency brand teams representing top U.S. advertisers. You’ll collaborate closely with Nielsen’s advertiser teams, specialist sellers, and cross-functional teams to provide innovative, data-driven solutions that address clients' media and business challenges.
Responsibilities:
Interface directly with agency executives in support of new business opportunities and consultative sales programs.
Identify, prospect, and develop new agency relationships and generate new sales/product opportunities.
Identify opportunities and develop proposals that address the agencies’ clients’ business issues.
Create compelling presentations that tell a story by translating data into key insights, and manage the sales process from prospecting, to negotiating and closing contracts, to initial implementation.
Work closely with internal Nielsen partners, support teams and stakeholders to deliver products, services and drive client satisfaction.
Communicate and prioritize agency requirements and resolve all issues in a proactive and timely manner.
Develop solid understanding of each product and solution, and how the data can be used to improve business performance.
Attend agency and industry-specific meetings.
Sales administration - maintenance of opportunity pipeline and contract management.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of professional experience in a sales or business development role, ideally within media, ad tech, or data & analytics industries.
Understanding of the media & marketing landscape including knowledge of addressable advertising, and both managed service and programmatic buying models.
Demonstrated experience in successfully managing accounts and exceeding sales targets.
Ability to understand client needs and craft solutions that leverage Nielsen's audience measurement tools.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and tight deadlines.
A collaborative spirit and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Favorable experience includes: selling audience measurement, advertising effectiveness, or data-driven marketing solutions to brands, agencies and/or media planners/buyers, and/or experience with planning and/or buying data
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentives.
