Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and coordinate all phases of construction activities across multiple projects. This position is responsible for maintaining project quality, schedule, and safety while ensuring all work is executed according to plans, specifications, and industry standards. The supervisor will act as the on-site point of contact and will report directly to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all daily operations on construction sites, ensuring work is performed to required specifications, quality, and safety standards.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all project components, including site work, concrete, steel structures, roofing, underground utilities, MEP systems, and interior construction.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures among employees and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to meet project timelines.
  • Conduct quality control checks and monitor compliance with contract documents.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, timesheets, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with project team members regarding RFIs, ASIs, submittals, and project updates.
  • Ensure subcontractors are completing work within scope and resolving issues or deficiencies promptly.
  • Arrange and coordinate inspections with local authorities as required.
  • Identify and report non-compliance with safety or quality standards.
  • Track construction progress and forecast future activities to ensure adherence to schedule.
  • Organize and lead weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and ensure proper documentation.
  • Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Prepare and follow through on punch lists to close out projects.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role on commercial construction sites.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building systems, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes, including Life Safety and OSHA requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office and construction documentation software.
