A leading Concrete contractor that specialize in large scale cast-in place concrete projects and major renovation or restorations are looking for an experienced Concrete Estimator to join the department in a brand-new office and team build based in Deerfield Beach. You’ll be joining a very established full-service turnkey, cast-in-place concrete construction company and work on bids/take offs up to $70M.
You will be responsible for producing quality estimates for large concrete projects by thoroughly reviewing project documents, identifying risks, and ensuring profitability. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, to ensure that all aspects of the project are accurately reflected in the estimates. The estimator will also focus on critical issues related to constructability and will be proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance company profitability.
As a Concrete Estimator you will be preparing accurate estimates for projects by gathering information, analyzing important metrics, and determining the resources required for each construction project. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project plans and specifications, identifying potential cost-saving measures, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and preparing detailed cost analysis reports.
The ideal Concrete Estimator will have a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience, with a strong emphasis on concrete projects. You will possess expertise in preparing estimates at various stages, including Conceptual, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Document budgets and estimates. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, and familiarity with estimating software such as On-Screen Take Off & Excel essential.
