Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure competitive and realistic pricing. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in estimating software, and a deep understanding of construction materials, techniques, and labor costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to determine scope and requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Conduct market research on material costs and labor rates.
  • Evaluate and compare vendor and subcontractor proposals.
  • Present estimates to clients and stakeholders, explaining pricing and cost structures.
  • Assist in project budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Construction Estimator , preferably in vertical commercial construction. $5M+ projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, ProEst, or PlanSwift.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to challenges and find cost-effective solutions.
  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines effectively.
