Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving sales strategies and fostering customer relationships to achieve business objectives. This position oversees a team of Account Managers to ensure targets are met and market opportunities are maximized.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to align with company objectives and regional goals.
  • Monitor regional sales performance and lead forecasting activities.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive pricing, and industry trends.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of sales team members to drive results.
  • Oversee channel development and ensure quotas and objectives are achieved.
  • Analyze sales data to create and implement effective regional strategies.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and events to build brand presence.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers and Account Managers to engage high-value clients.
  • Build lasting relationships with key accounts through regular engagement and support.
  • Guide Territory Managers on daily execution of sales strategies.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and respond to competitor activities to remain competitive in the market.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value accounts, creating sales programs and tracking results.
  • Provide actionable market insights, including trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Serve as a liaison between leadership and the sales team, addressing issues and driving motivation.
  • Address customer concerns and oversee post-sale support to maintain satisfaction.
  • Monitor team progress, identify gaps, and implement performance improvements.
  • Oversee accounts receivable collection for the region.

Requirements:

  • Established experience and strong relationships within the cannabis industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of sales management experience, ideally within a supplier or distributor environment.
  • 3+ years of team leadership experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a professional and personable approach.
  • Excellent written communication skills for drafting reports and correspondence.

  • Analytical and mathematical skills for interpreting sales figures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with the cannabis industry, including trends and best practices.
