Job Description

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk with strong customer service skills to support a manufacturer in Wilmington, NC.

This role will involve processing customer orders, supporting billing and invoicing activities, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. You will act as a liaison between internal teams and external customers to ensure timely and accurate order management and account updates.

Position details:

Permanent, full-time role with PTO and benefits.

Pay: $20.00 to $24.50 per hour based on experience.

Fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer orders received via phone, email, and customer portals (EDI).
• Enter and maintain accurate billing, pricing, and order data in the system.
• Support the preparation of invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Respond to customer inquiries related to orders, billing, and product availability.
• Coordinate with internal departments to verify pricing, shipping schedules, and product availability.
• Maintain organized records of orders, invoices, and related communications.
• Provide accurate and timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of experience in a clerical, accounting, or customer service role.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
