Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Yard Truck Driver (Class A CDL) / Warehouse Associate to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently and safely move trailers and other equipment around the yard using a yard truck. The ideal candidate will also assist with warehouse duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a yard truck to move trailers and equipment within the yard.
- Ensure trailers are accurately positioned for loading and unloading.
- Conduct daily safety checks on the yard truck and report any maintenance or safety issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard and shipping/receiving docks.
- Assist with warehouse tasks, including loading, unloading, and organizing inventory.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- 2-3 years of experience operating a yard truck or similar equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to handle warehouse duties, including lifting and moving objects.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
