【Position】

Interpreter/Translator

【Summary】

To be considered, you should have at least two years of experience in interpretation and/or translation. Candidates must be native speakers or possess advanced proficiency in either Japanese or English. While simultaneous interpretation skills are not required upon hiring, you will be expected to acquire them on the job. This position offers an environment where you can immediately apply your practical skills as a dedicated in-house interpreter/translator.

【Essential Duties】

Full-time interpreting and translation work related to automobile manufacturing operations.

【Working Hours, Working Style】

• Monday to Friday (weekdays).
• Standard full-time schedule: 8.5-hour workday (including a 30-minute unpaid break), 40 hours per week.

【Salary, Benefits】

• Starting Salary: $30/hr. (approximately $62.4K annually) – $38.92/hr. (approximately $80.9K annually), depending on interpreting and translation skills and experience.
• Health Insurance: Medical, vision, and dental insurance. Employee pays 8% of the insurance premium (2025 rate: $50.64/month for both plans). Family coverage available with employee contribution: spouse 80%, children 60%, family 70% (available from the start date).

【Holidays】

• Complete two-day weekend system (Saturdays and Sundays off) and public holidays.
• Paid Leave: 6 days in the first year, 10 days in the second year, increasing by one day per additional year of service (maximum of 15 days).
• Factory Shutdown Leave: In addition to the above, there are 15 to 18 days of holidays and factory shutdown days per year, which vary annually depending on the client company's calendar.
