We’re hiring a Training Coordinator in Washington, DC!

The Training Coordinator at CYM will support the Learning and Development (L&D) team by creating, delivering, and continuously refining training content and programs that align with CYM’s core values and operational goals. The Training Coordinator works with the Learning & Development team to ensure that all training collateral are accurate, up-to-date and effective to support continuous operational excellence.

The role involves developing learning tools and assisting with the coordination and maintenance of training documents, content, and more. Additionally, the Training Coordinator will assist with improving training effectiveness based on relevant data, employee feedback, and workforce productivity to ensure all operational needs are being addressed in a timely manner. 

This role will also assist in ensuring new training initiatives are delivered and adopted successfully. You’ll play a key role in the individual and collective success of everyone at CYM and do so through our Values (“VIBES”). This role is based in our HQ Office in DC and will report to the Senior Director of Learning and Development.

As a Training Specialist, you’ll make an impact by:

  • Creating and refining our training materials, content + tools

Your core responsibilities will be:

  • Contribute to engaging and effective training tools for new hires, current team members, and emerging leaders to enhance employee performance.
  • Assist in the refinement of training materials, including manuals, presentations, online resources, and job aids.
  • Support the implementation of company-wide training initiatives, including new software rollouts, new menu rollouts, operational changes, and new shop openings.
  • Ensure training programs meet the needs of the business and align with the “CYM Way.”
  • Address training needs and ensure alignment with departmental and company objectives based on department lead direction.
  • Monitor and track training participation and effectiveness, gathering feedback and other data to provide to the L&D team for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a resource to support the needs of the L&D team.
  • Collaborate with the L&D team to maintain and improve the Learning Management System (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Curate and maintain a library of career development resources for all team members 
  • Stay current with industry best practices and trends to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects CYM’s values.
 

You’ll be a great addition to the CYM team if you meet these requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience in training, learning facilitation, or coaching within restaurants or  hospitality, required.
  • Passionate about food, hospitality, and people development with a strong service-oriented mindset.
  • Success with executing plans or projects with follow-up and adapting/prioritizing work with rapid change.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and inspire.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfort with technology and learning management systems, with a willingness to learn new tools.
  • Ability to adapt training approaches to meet different learning styles and needs.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to model CYM’s core values and lead by example.
