A towing and salvage company in Woodburn, Oregon, is hiring a bilingual tow truck dispatcher (clerical) who speaks both Spanish and English.
Minimum Requirements:
- Eighteen (18) years of age or older
- No experience necessary this employer is willing to train qualified applicants
- Training and / or experience using computers and MS Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook); the employer will train qualified applicant on the employer's system
- Bilingual English / Spanish to communicate with monolingual Spanish-speaking customers
Preferred (not required):
- High school diploma or GED
- Six (6) months of experience as a dispatcher (clerical)

- The ideal candidate will be dependable, quick to pick up on things, able to work independently, and knowledgeable about cars in general, including the differences between 4-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, and front-wheel drive.
- The workplace is situated on a salvage yard and has a casual atmosphere; work in all weather and office conditions
- This employer will conduct a background check and a drug test before the first day of employment
Job Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service over the phone and in person
- Cash handling duties
- Effective communication skills, including verbal, oral, and written, to process forms and files
- Remain composed and professional when dealing with stressed or upset customers
- Use the computer to access, enter, and retrieve data
- Answer calls, take messages, schedule appointments on multiple phone lines professionally, and dispatch drivers on tow jobs
- Clerical duties involve filing, faxing, copying, and paperwork / documentation tasks
- Work autonomously in a fast-paced / slow office environment
- Multi-tasking skills, with great time management and prioritizing capabilities to meet productivity expectations, organize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Work independently without supervision and use good judgment in difficult situations.
- Performs any other duties as assigned
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 depending on experience; negotiable
Hours:
- Twenty (20) to forty (40) hours per week; between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday; this employer is flexible and willing to work with your schedule
