Senior Test Engineer – Mixed Signal ICs

Job Description

This role will drive test development, product qualification, and continuous improvement efforts throughout the product lifecycle. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy test solutions that ensure the delivery of high-quality products. This position plays a critical role in ensuring robust test methodologies and efficient test execution.

Responsibilities

Test Development & Implementation

• Lead the transition of test solutions from existing legacy test platforms to newer, more versatile systems, ensuring smooth integration and improved test coverage and efficiency
• Develop and implement high-speed test solutions at both package and wafer levels, covering both hardware and software aspects
• Collaborate with design teams to integrate Design for Test (DFT) methodologies into new product designs, ensuring enhanced testability and manufacturability

Production & Performance Optimization

• Analyze production test times and yields to identify optimization opportunities for product and test efficiency
• Assist in planning long-term capital acquisition strategies for test equipment and systems
• Explore and implement innovative test methodologies to enhance accuracy, speed, and cost-effectiveness

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work alongside product engineering, design, and validation teams to assess new designs, providing feedback based on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) results
• Develop and execute reliability screening solutions to evaluate device performance under life testing conditions
• Partner with product engineering for ATE characterization, ensuring alignment between test solutions and mission-critical product requirements

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Conduct thorough test data analysis, generating clear and actionable reports for internal teams
• Foster strong collaborations across design, product, characterization, validation, applications, and marketing teams to streamline processes and drive innovation

Customer & Quality Support

• Provide support for customer inquiries and test-related concerns that arise during production or product deployment
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables
• Ensure strict adherence to quality management standards to uphold product reliability and performance

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, specializing in mixed-signal or avionics applications
• Extensive hands-on experience with ATE platforms, including LabView, ATEasy, Cohu/Unisom, Linux-based systems using C or C++
• Strong knowledge of test development for analog and digital ICs
• Expertise in high-speed test solutions, test program development, and debugging
• Experience with board-level analog/mixed-signal and digital PCB design and layout
• Familiarity with reliability testing, life-cycle qualification, and yield improvement methodologies
