Job Title: System Integration Engineer
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a System Integration Engineer where you will design and maintain laboratory integration and test environments that encompass electronic hardware components and software at vehicle component, sub-system, and platform levels. This role involves maintaining hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems and emulation tools, working in a cutting-edge technology software integration and testing lab.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain laboratory integration and test environments for electronic hardware and software.
Maintain hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems and emulation tools.
Work cross-functionally with other stakeholders on high visibility programs for the US Army.
Troubleshoot, build, and repair cables.
Debug complex electro-mechanical systems.
Essential Skills
Strong mechatronic integration skills.
Minimum of 4 years of work experience.
Experience with hardware-in-the-loop systems.
Experience with one or more scripting languages such as Python, BASH, or NI TestStand.
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
Familiarity with computer networking principles including VLANs and switch configuration.
Familiarity with multiple communication protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of running simulation models.
Familiarity with NI TestStand.
Knowledge of Windows event log.
Understanding of how models and hardware work together.
Work Environment
This position is based on-site in a software integration and testing lab, where you will be at the forefront of developing new technologies for the US Army.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $50.00/hr.
