Job Description

Company

David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

This is a compelling opportunity to be a part of an exciting new food brand as we operate within a critical growth stage. David is led by CEO Peter Rahal, the Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR ($600M exit to Kellogg in 2017). We have strong aspirations to become the most popular high-protein bar in North America and beyond.

Role and Responsibilities:

The Strategic Channel Analyst will have ownership of David’s online, direct-ship wholesale program. This is a highly entrepreneurial role that requires adaptability and a self-starting mindset. This role will own the systems, strategy, and relationships that power our online wholesale program – turning strategic partners into true advocates of the David brand. You will focus on bringing David to independent businesses such as gyms, nutrition stores, and other retail locations, all while optimizing existing relationships.

Retail Leadership & Brand Stewardship

  • Build, own, and continuously evolve David’s online, direct-ship wholesale playbook across acquisition, onboarding, retention, and expansion.
  • Recruit, manage, and motivate internal and external sales teams to maximize coverage and account performance.
  • Champion wholesale partner feedback to inform decisions across product, operations, and marketing.
  • Act as the face of David in retail conversations, trade shows, and industry events.

Lead Generation & Market Expansion

  • Identify and prospect high-potential wholesale partners using lead generation tools and outbound research.
  • Optimize and execute cold outreach strategies to drive interest in our wholesale program.
  • Research and prioritize new retail categories where David can thrive and develop strategic plans to enter and win in those markets.

Conversion & Onboarding

  • Develop and optimize a scalable, high-conversion onboarding process that minimizes friction and accelerates time-to-first order.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure account setup and partner education support early success.

Partner Management & Retention

  • Build systems to improve retention, including email/SMS flows and website optimizations.
  • Analyze account performance to identify churn risks and growth opportunities, then launch targeted interventions to improve outcomes.
  • Meet regularly with existing customers to equip them with the tools they need to sell David effectively.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong relationship-building skills and enjoyment for collaboration within the organization and with external partners.
  • The ability to operate independently while clearly communicating your priorities and initiatives.
  • The ability to identify customer pain points and develop scalable solutions to resolve them.
  • Analytical background with the ability to distill numbers into decisions.
  • High IQ/intellectual horsepower and accurate.
  • A self-starting attitude with a love for executing on ideas and moving quickly.
  • Humble, self-aware, and curious.
  • A desire to build an early-stage CPG company with a mission to create tools to increase muscle and decrease fat.
  • Note - we care much more about your attributes than your experience. If you are early in your career, do not be deterred from applying if you feel that you are the right fit.

Practicalities:

  • This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week — when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together.
  • Salary: $90 - $110K per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets.
  • Company equity opportunity on top of cash compensation.
  • 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance.
  • 401(k) with 4% match.
  • Additional perks, such as covered gym expenses.
  • Substantial and required PTO.

Application Process :

  • Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis.
  • The target start date for this role is Summer 2025.
