Bridge Project Manager – Structural Engineering Leadership

🏗️ About the Role:

As a Bridge Project Manager, you'll oversee the planning, design, and execution of bridge replacement, rehabilitation, and inspection projects for public and private sector clients. You'll serve as a key point of contact, guiding multidisciplinary teams through all phases of delivery—from proposal to construction support.

🧰 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage full lifecycle of bridge and structural engineering projects—from scoping and design through to final deliverables
• Coordinate with DOTs, municipalities, and transit authorities on project goals and regulatory compliance
• Lead internal teams of engineers and technical staff, assigning responsibilities and ensuring quality standards are met
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Oversee budgets, timelines, and resource planning to ensure project success
• Contribute to proposals and help win new work through client engagement and presentations
• Stay current with evolving codes, materials, and best practices in bridge design

🧑‍💼 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s a plus)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 8+ years of progressive experience in bridge and structural engineering, with proven leadership responsibilities
• Proficient in design tools such as MIDAS, SAP2000, LARSA, or STAAD , and CAD platforms like MicroStation or AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
• Prior experience with MassDOT or other New England DOTs is highly desirable
• Excellent organizational, communication, and mentoring skills
