Senior Interior Designer - Hospitality Interior Design | Alpharetta, GA

- Hybrid working style - 3 days in office/2 days remotely -

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, and collaborative Senior Interior Designer to join a talented design team creating hospitality projects. Join a company with a passion for design, connection builders, collaborative individuals, and creative workplace and culture.

The Senior Designer works collaboratively and leads the design team to create hospitality projects including hotel interior projects. In this role you will provide leadership and execute the design of the project from concept through installation, including developing the concept, development of all design details and finishes, furniture design and selection, coordination, and documentation. The Senior Designer is a key leadership component in the design process through all design phases, from concept to completion on various hospitality projects.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the presentation effort to clients, brand, and related consultants; obtains client approval and ensures integration of client and brand requests into overall design.
  • Organizes and conducts client consultations as a team leader to understand project requirements and expectations.
  • Develops overall design for project leading team members through the development,
  • production, and implementation of the design.
  • Prepare and modify production drawings during design development phase considering materials and costs according to set budget.
  • Corrects and updates design documents and develops solutions to technical and design
  • problems following established standards.
  • Utilize strong organizational skills to manage frequent interruptions and ensure successful completion of projects on intense time frames.
  • Coordinates drawings with architectural, engineering, lighting, and kitchen consultants to ensure a fully synchronized design.
  • Demonstrate a service-oriented attitude and foster a respectful, creative, inspiring office environment.
  • Motivate and work with and through team members to achieve desired results by monitoring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Exercise independent discretion and judgment in dividing duties between self-initiated, direct production design work and delegation of production work to design team members and/or contracted resources.
  • Lead and manage design team members on projects while providing guidance and mentoring.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited university.
  • 7+ years of continuous interior design work experience - min 3 years in hotel interior projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and InDesign.
  • Experience with SPEXX database or similar FF&E specification writing software required.
  • REVIT Architecture skills are highly valued.
  • NCIDQ accreditation and LEED accreditation is highly valued.
  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship-management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to provide complete drawing packages and coordinate with outside consultants for detailed, thorough drawing sets.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the hospitality industry and have extensive experience with customization of furniture and hotel brands.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and use independent judgment in routine and non-routine matters.
  • Must be able to collaborate in a team environment and in an open office setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with strong customer service skills.
  • A strong team player, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Clients and other Team Members, specifically with Outside Sales, Inside Sales and, Project Sales team members.
  • Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
