The Crowne Plaza Los Angeles Harbor Hotel in San Pedro, CA is looking for a Sr. Corporate Sales Manager. The right candidate will be someone who enjoys interacting with people and readily displays warm hospitality to all guests.

Principal Responsibilities:

The Sr. Corporate Sales Manager is responsible growing and maintaining relationships with business clients. The individual will attract new business clients interests through solicitation and creating tailored sales pitches and packages to secure new contracts for corporate events, conferences, and business travelers. The Sr. Corporate Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Sales to achieve the hotel’s revenue and market share goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the hotel's client base and ensure a strong market share.
  • Actively solicits corporate business by reaching decision-makers through phone calls, site inspections, tele-prospecting, email prospecting, blitzing, and sales trips.
  • Effectively achieve quarterly sales and revenue goals.
  • Cultivates, develops, and maintains relationships with key clients and stakeholders through servicing the accounts regularly.
  • Prepare tailord proposals and contracts that maximize profit while maintaining customer satisfaction. Ensure proposal and contracts meet the hotel's requirements.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify trends, opportunties, and roadblocks to success. Plan and strategize based on market trends within the segment in order to meet sales goals.
  • Prepare and review sales reports and analytics to measure the effectiveness of the sales strategy and make informed business decisions.
  • Review all corporate business contracts so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Communicates and plans for operations department’s participation in servicing accounts.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Sales, develop and facilitate marketing, public relations, and media projects, applicable to corporate business to maximize revenue.
  • Attend industry trade shows/events, conferences, and meetings to network, some of which may involve travel within or outside the United States.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essentials functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the hotel corporate sales process to include lead generation, solicitation, negotiation and closing techniques.
  • Ability to read English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, proposals, general correspondence, and similar written materials.
  • Advanced English language writing skills for formulation of proposals, memos, and general correspondence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills

QUALIFYING STANDARDS

Education

Four-year college degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 8 years of corporate sales manager experience in the hospitality industry.

Grooming

All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

The ideal candidate will put pride in their work, be reliable, and be friendly and professional at all times.  Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
