Security Officer

Location: Onsite in Brookhaven, Ga

Compensation: $20.00 - 23.00/hr

Duration: Contract to hire!

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for operating and driving Children's vehicles throughout the organization as needed and to specified vendors or sites based on operational needs.
• Patrol assigned locations on foot or in a vehicle
• Check and report irregularities related to security & safety, policy compliance, parking concerns, and other relevant issues
• Preserve order and enforce directions for patients, visitors, etc.
• Act as the first responder to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, security threats, disaster, and other emergencies
• Respond to and intervene in high stress situations such as assistance calls from officers/medical staff, patient elopements, physical assaults, behavioral health de-escalations, and abductions.
• Investigate incidents reported.
• Write clear, accurate, and concise incident reports that record the entire investigation to include photographs and timelines.
• Conduct subject interviews and record statements accurately

Must haves

-1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, fire, military, safety or EMS

-high school diploma or equivalent

-Valid Georgia driver's license

- Clean driving record

-Excellent oral and written communication skills

-Proficiency in security technology, including surveillance systems, access control, and emergency management

-Ability to write complete, accurate, and concise incident reports

-ability to function independently

-sound judgement and confidentiality in handling of sensitive information

-advanced problem solving and crisis management capabilities

-ability to remain clam and composed under stress

-high alertness and keen observation skills

-knowledge of Microsoft office systems

-ability to drive and operate Children's vehicles

Plusses:

• Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) certification
• Experience with the use of non-lethal weapons
