BCTG’s direct client is looking for a Contract-to-hire Sr. SAP Solutions Analyst – Hybrid (Englewood Cliffs, NJ or Universal City, CA)

This person will perform SAP activities in support of business requirements, process documentation and improving or adding new functionality to the existing SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) landscape as necessary while participating in client’s Finance Transformation journey toward S/4. This position will participate in multiple business initiatives and modernization efforts and will be dedicated to record to report (RTR), procure to pay (PTP), and order to cash (OTC) processes, leading its strategic evolution for Domestic and International Finance.

The Sr. SAP Solutions Analyst is responsible for documenting current business processes and system integrations, designing and implementing comprehensive SAP solutions that align with business needs, including design and roadmaps, by deeply understanding business processes and translating them into functional SAP solutions, while ensuring optimal utilization of existing systems and facilitating new technology integration when required; acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team to deliver effective SAP implementations across the organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • The initial phase of this assignment will be to focus on documenting the architecture of the existing ECC environment and the systems that integrate with the environment in LeanIX (a tool for managing our IT landscape in a simple yet effective way). This documentation is required as part of the move from ECC to S/4. Once the task / deliverable is complete, this role will transform into being part of the S/4 implementation team.
  • Provide technical support for the SAP Core Finance workstreams (RTR, PTP, OTC) by designing, configuring, and implementing functionality for Domestic and International processes, including regulatory electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) and digital reporting (e-reporting) requirements.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand their needs and translate them into detailed functional specifications and user guides for SAP solutions.
  • Develop high-level and detailed solutions including data models, workflows, integrations, and system configurations to address business requirements.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of various SAP modules like FI/CO, MM, and SD, and expertise in SAP S/4HANA implementation and best practices.
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure business requirements are developed, validated and system development goals are achieved.
  • Design and implement integrations between SAP and other enterprise systems.
  • Review and participate in testing activities to ensure quality of developed solutions; work with developers to come up with design of RICEF’s, perform unit and functional testing and work with business partners on successfully completing user acceptance testing.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to business users and stakeholders, manage expectations, and build consensus on solutions.
  • Manage small and medium size projects to ensure they are successfully delivered on time and on budget.
  • Troubleshoot and oversee complex integrations between SAP and other source systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive hands-on SAP experience with a strong understanding of SAP modules relevant to business operations.
  • Experience with e-invoicing and e-reporting implementations across PTP and/or OTC workstreams using SaaS solutions and/or SAP E-Doc or SAP Document & Reporting Compliance (DRC).
  • Proven track record of successful SAP implementation projects across multiple modules.
  • Expertise in various SAP configuration, customization, and development (in ECC and S/4).
  • Experience with SAP integration technologies and data migration strategies.
  • Knowledge in SAP table structures, queries, report painter and report writers.
  • Basic knowledge of BW and SAP Security.
  • Adherence to IT/SAP project methodologies and change control processes.
  • Ability to work independently, to prioritize workload and to work well under pressure to deliver effective solutions often within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive collaborative business decisions.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, processes and enhancements.
  • Experience working for a large company and within a matrix organization.
  • Established expertise in financial operations, financial controls, GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and financial systems.
  • Demonstrate innovation and pioneering spirit (drive change, productivity, growth).
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work seamlessly with an experienced and established team, fostering a culture of mutual respect, trust, and productive collaboration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMP or other professional project management certification
  • Experience using integration tools: Gentran Integration Suite (GIS)/Sterling Integrator, Tibco, Informatica, SAP Cloud Integration, SAP API Gateway
  • SAP BTP and Clean Core Concepts
  • Certified Public Account or Equivalent
  • Experience in SaaS products or another ERP
  • Experience implementing financial processes and systems
  • Experienced using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Experience using systems designed to manage projects, issues, changes and testing (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, Smartsheet, HPALM, Worksoft)
