The Building Envelope Waterproofing Representative (BEWR) is responsible for the sales activity related to the Building Envelope Waterproofing & Deck Coatings market (BEW-DC) (waterproofing, air barriers, deck coatings, and others as assigned by the manager) for their assigned territory.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Meet and exceed sales budgets and be accountable for measurable performance.
• Build and maintain relationships in addition to formally educating and motivating our customers to include, but not limited to, contractors, building owners, specifiers, and distributors.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with other sales representatives in their respective
territories who focus on other product lines and markets.
• Have a “can do” attitude and be a team player.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the telephone, and in writing.
• Promote SOPREMA as a single-source building envelope solutions provider.
• Utilize Salesforce to manage day-to-day business, territory business plans, and forecast sales.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to customers.
• Must have an understanding and knowledge of the company goals and growth objectives. • Know how to get things done through formal and informal channels.
• Work within organizational strategies, structures, and processes in flexible and practical ways.
• Stay up to date on industry and market trends. Accurate anticipation of future consequences and trends with a broad knowledge and perspective.
• Communicate and liaise with all corporate office departments, transferring market information,
requirements, and technical concerns.
• Set challenging objectives.
• Be a technical resource.
• Deal with conflict, ambiguity, and information appropriately and positively.
• Additional functions as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5 years of sales experience in the building material industry, preferably with a manufacturer,
distributor, or as an independent sales agent.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but related work experience is also a valid qualification.
• 5 years experience in public speaking
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:
• Driving long distances (must have a valid driver's license)
• Climbing and descending stairs and ladders
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time.
• Visit job sites and be compliant with all safety procedures.
