Job Title: R&D Technician – Extrusion Whole Grain-ILM

Location: Legacy Dr, Plano, TX 75024

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Central Time)

Pay Rate: Up to $28/hour

Work Type: Onsite | Full-Time | 40 hours/week

Travel: Up to 25%

Job Summary:

Client’s Global R&D Team is seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on R&D Technician to support product innovation in the Whole Grain and Extrusion space. This role will support lab and pilot plant testing, equipment operation, data entry, and coordination of test samples and documentation. Ideal for someone with food science, processing, or lab technician experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate hammer milling and Cheetos extrusion equipment (Crunchy and Puffs).
• Support product developers with test preparation, ingredient handling, and lab experiments.
• Conduct particle analysis and measurements (size, moisture, segregation, density, hydration).
• Organize lab schedules, samples, raw materials, and maintain inventory levels.
• Maintain equipment logs and coordinate equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, allergen control, and lab safety standards.
• Submit samples using Delta System, Micro & WinLims.
• Assist with consumer test coordination, packaging, and shipping (domestic/international).
• Generate and manage POs and T&E reports related to lab activities.
• Manage documents/specs for incoming materials and ensure timely execution of lab priorities.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and cross-functional team collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

• AAS in Science/Engineering or 3+ years in food/R&D lab environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other data entry platforms.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Familiarity with GMPs and lab safety protocols.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced R&D setting.
