Job Description

Quality Assurance Engineer

12-month Contract

Onsite in Lakeland, FL

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection to ensure product quality and functionality. This role involves designing and installing sophisticated testing equipment, performing product testing and analysis, and identifying trends in defective products to drive corrective actions and minimize defects and failure rates. The Quality Assurance Engineer will also collaborate with supplier representatives to resolve quality issues and contribute to supplier quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process control and improvement methods to maintain high product quality.
  • Design and install testing equipment and conduct product testing to identify defects and failure rates.
  • Analyze reports and defective products to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work with supplier representatives to address quality concerns and ensure effective corrective actions.
  • Contribute to supplier quality improvement programs to enhance overall product quality.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply judgment in quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding and application of quality assurance procedures and concepts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
