Job Description

SUMMARY

A global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced mechanical and electromechanical systems is seeking an experienced Project Engineer. This role is responsible for leading engineering programs from concept to qualification testing, serving as a key technical interface with customers, and driving innovation and excellence across cross-functional teams. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee full lifecycle of engineering programs, from proposal development to final testing and qualification.
• Produce, review, and manage comprehensive technical documentation, including reports and presentations.
• Plan and monitor program budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Serve as the primary liaison with customers and suppliers, ensuring consistent communication and satisfaction.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams, collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, Reliability, Quality, and Program Management teams.
• Identify and manage risks; promptly escalate potential issues impacting cost, schedule, or safety.
• Develop specifications for subcontracted parts and manage technical deliverables.
• Participate in internal and customer-facing meetings to represent engineering initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, including military and aerospace specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong background in hydraulic and electromechanical systems; aerospace or defense experience preferred.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems efficiently and manage time effectively across multiple projects.
• Familiar with MIL specs and civil aerospace requirements; AS9100 knowledge is a plus.
• Capable of communicating technical details through written, verbal, and presentation formats.
• Must be ITAR compliant and eligible to work in a regulated defense environment.
• Experience with systems such as hoists and winches is a strong advantage.
