At Butternut Mountain Farm, a second-generation, family-owned Vermont company, we’re proud to be one of the largest packers of pure maple syrup in the country. We’re seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Production Team—people who enjoy hands-on work, value teamwork, and want to be part of something meaningful. 

Whether you're operating equipment, packaging product, or cleaning and preparing barrels, your work directly supports the delivery of high-quality maple syrup enjoyed by customers across the world—and helps sustain a vibrant community of syrup producers across Vermont, Maine, New York, and Canada. 

What You’ll Be Doing  

Depending on your role and training, you’ll: 

  • Perform repetitive production tasks with consistency and care 
  • Stand and stay active for your full shift 
  • Operate, clean, and maintain production or barrel-washing equipment 
  • Spot inconsistencies in materials, product flow, or equipment behavior 
  • Track production with basic computer/data entry 
  • Collaborate with team members to keep things running smoothly 

We support cross-training so team members can grow their skills and work in areas where they thrive. Some days are the same—but the work always matters.

Who We’re Looking For  

  • Reliable, punctual, and ready to contribute 
  • Enjoys working with their hands and staying physically active 
  • Pays attention to small details and enjoys spotting ways to improve 
  • Comfortable with basic math and following procedures 
  • Enjoys working as part of a team that works hard and has fun 
  • Curious, innovative, and focused on process improvement 
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods 

Schedule  

  • First Shift : Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM 
  • Enjoy early afternoons and three-day weekends (Friday–Sunday) 
  • Additional Notes:  
  • Depending on your role, occasional overtime or early arrivals may be required
  • We do our best to offer overtime on a voluntary basis , but there may be times when mandatory overtime is necessary—particularly on Fridays.
