Office Location: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE.

Essential Functions

• Reviews and processes initial and renewal application packets for Private/Postsecondary Career Schools (PPCS) and agents under Rule 42 and Veterans Education. Issues license certificates and notifies stakeholders of certificates or closing schools.
• Completes background checks for agent applications and maintains result records.
• Assists with school on-site visits, and provides guidance and technical assistance related to PPCS and Veterans Education processes and requirements.
• Establishes and maintains fiscal coding for new PPCS schools, and assists with payments.
• Responds to transcript requests for closed schools.
• Prepares files and documents for storage according to record retention guidelines.

Working Conditions and Travel :

This position requires approximately 90% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 10% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as meetings or trainings. There is also approximately twelve days of overnight travel per year.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in a related field and two years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or six years of experience in a field related to the position’s essential functions. Experience working with G.I. Bill benefits or veteran education programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Access, and WordPress.
