Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on EHS Manager to lead the Environmental, Health, and Safety program at our 400-employee production facility. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the EHS management systems, with a strong emphasis on safety. The ideal candidate will be visible and approachable on the plant floor, building strong relationships across all levels of the organization and promoting a culture of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement the EHS program and ISO-based management systems, with a heavy focus on occupational safety.
• Oversee plant-wide EHS activities, including metrics tracking, recordkeeping, regulatory compliance, and internal communications.
• Represent the facility in corporate safety councils and collaborate closely with the corporate EHS team.
• Drive continuous improvement in key areas such as ergonomics, machine guarding, incident prevention, and safety training initiatives.
• Promote employee engagement in safety programs through coaching, education, and accountability.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment.
• Strong understanding of ISO-based safety management systems.
• Proven ability to coach and influence employees at all organizational levels.
• Proactive and approachable leadership style with a "roll up your sleeves" mentality.
