Job Description

OVERVIEW :

Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of Health care systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Pharmacy Technician.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • This will be an Onsite role.
  • Work Location: 845 Regent Blvd, Irving, TX 75063
  • Duration: 3 months assignment with possible extension || 40 HRS/week
  • Work Schedule: (Mon–Fri) 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM (Includes 1-hour lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks | Weekends off)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take initiative and demonstrate a proactive, enthusiastic approach to daily tasks.
  • Handle high-volume calls and demonstrate strong telephone communication skills.
  • Review prescription orders for completeness and accuracy.
  • Read, interpret, and verify prescription information and prescriber authorization.
  • Calculate dosage volumes, including metric and apothecary conversions.
  • Support Pharmacists in medication distribution and pharmaceutical care activities.
  • Enter and process new prescriptions in the pharmacy system at the direction of the supervising pharmacist, following all regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient profiles and documentation.
  • Ensure timely, precise order processing.
  • Assist with software template accuracy and updates.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
  • Follow all applicable regulatory and company policies, including HIPAA.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License (Kentucky license required post-onboarding).
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience Pharmacy Technician.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, not required.
  • Must type 30+ WPM .
