This is an earn & learn program in which students will have an opportunity to attend EMT school while working in a position. Students will be building a strong foundation for their EMS career through valuable hands-on training, tutoring provided by our Clinical Services department, and mentoring by our experienced Clinicians. Students will also have an opportunity to promote up to an EMR/First Responder position to work on a BLS ambulance with an EMT.
Students will begin EMT school within 6 months of hire. Upon completion of school, MedFleet will provide NREMT exam prep. Once you receive your FL State EMT License, you will begin training in your new role as EMT!

Summary:
This position reports to a Supervisor. A EMS Patient Transporter is accountable for responding to all assigned calls in the most appropriate and efficient manner, providing the highest standards of patient care while providing a safe and hazard-free environment. An EMS Patient Transporter provides a high level of customer service to patients and partners at all times.
