24HourNurse is looking for Patient Attendants (Sitters) for Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Hospitals located in Weston, WV!

Position: Patient Attendant/Patient Sitter; No experience necessary!

Pay: $14.50/hr; Overtime is $21.75/hr; $0.25 shift differential for night shift

A limited number of manager and supervisor positions also available, some experience required.

Location: Weston, WV

Shifts: 7a-7p or 7p-7a; every other weekend rotation. Shift pattern is 2-2-3, either working or off every other Fri/Sat/Sun.

Overtime is available and it is possible to be mandated to work overtime occasionally.

Length: This is an open ended contract assignment. There is no set end date.

Orientation is about two weeks long and occurs during business hours. You can not miss any orientation.

This is an entry-level position. There are bonus opportunities, as well as advancement and leadership opportunities!!

Patient Attendant Responsibilities:

• Conducts patient safety rounds, patient observations, and hall monitoring and documents accurately.
• Reports any issues, changes, or discrepancies to appropriate staff
• Interacts with patients, observes behaviors, and notifies RN of significant observations. Documents accurately.
• Supervises patients moving to and from treatment areas, during patient visits, and transports
• Assists nursing staff in responding to emergency situations

A limited number of manager and supervisor positions may be available for $16.50 to $19/hr

Additional Responsibilities of Manager or Supervisor:

• One on-site manager position for each location during business hours to manage the patient attendants and supervisors, including scheduling, breaks, call-offs, interviews, timesheets.
• Additional on-site supervisors for each shift to manage the patient attendants, including scheduling, breaks, call-offs, interviews, timesheets.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Direct care experience, customer service skills, and leadership skills preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening prior to start
• Must receive WV Cares clearance. Please disclose any arrests to your recruiter.
• Valid Driver's license
