HIRING FOR SPRING SEMESTER OF 2025-26: SCHEDULE & HOURS

• We are interviewing now for an ideal start date of 1/6/2026.
• Position will last through 6/4/2026.
• Part-time schedule is based on the school calendar for the spring semester of 2025-26.
• Hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday school days. However, Administration is open to other schedules, if needed.

PAY:

• Part-time pay will be determined by the number of work hours agreed upon by Administration and the part-time Nurse.
• The Nurse position is under the salary schedule for other licensed school positions. As a result, pay is dependent on the Nurse's licensure level from NM PED, education, and experience. If an experienced Nurse does not yet have a nursing license from NMPED but is willing to obtain one, that Nurse can apply.
• The full year, full-time pay for licensed school Nurse is $55,000 to $79,500. So the hourly rate based on these amounts for part-time pay calculations is $39 to $56.72.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicants must have or be willing to get an NMPED School Nurse license. Ideally, they will also have experience in school-based nursing: completing and submitting state reports, conducting screenings, communicating with faculty and families etc.
• A minimum of 2 years of School Nurse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to students, including patient assessment.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with educational staff to support the health and well-being of students.
• Educate students on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
• Assist in emergency situations and handle airway management as required.
