Job Description

We are a fourth-generation family-owned construction company seeking a reliable and organized Office Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced environment. This part-time position (20+ hours per week) is ideal for a working parent or stable professional looking for a long-term role with the opportunity to grow into full-time employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with purchase orders and accounts payable
  • Perform filing and general office tasks
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate extension
  • Welcome and assist customers at the front desk
  • Handle a variety of daily administrative duties using basic office technology (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, and accounting software)

Qualifications:

  • Strong basic math skills
  • Good basic technology skills (e.g., proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software)
  • Basic understanding of accounting is a plus but not required
  • Trainable, coachable, and committed to long-term employment
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Preference for candidates seeking stability, not short-term or transitional employment
