Description:
The Device Development Laboratory Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of life-changing medical devices and combination products. The job consists of essential physical testing for R&D, verification, complaint investigations, and stability programs within a cGMP environment.
Responsibilities:
Foster a collaborative and positive team environment through clear and effective communication. Develop and
demonstrate your ability to influence stakeholders by leveraging technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
· Prepare and execute a variety of physical tests for routine and non-routine samples to collect and record
experimental data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
· Conduct regular laboratory maintenance and compliance activities.
· Manage laboratory supply inventory to ensure uninterrupted testing operations.
· Identify and troubleshoot basic technical issues, proposing effective solutions.
· Actively contribute to team projects and process improvement initiatives.
· Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with cGMP standards.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
· B.S./B.A. (preferably in relevant scientific discipline) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Technical Knowledge:
· Proficiency in using physical testing equipment and software (e.g., Instron, Zwick, etc.)
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and complete assignments efficiently with minimal supervision
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and concise reporting of results.

· Excellent problem-solving abilities.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Work Environment / Physical Demands Considerations:
● The majority of work is completed at the location of employment in a laboratory type setting.
● Ability to make repetitive motions and manual manipulations of samples. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Safety Considerations:
● Work is performed in a laboratory setting.
● PPE (e.g. safety glasses) are provided and must be worn whenever working in the laboratory.
