Position: Mechanical Engineer for Sales – Industrial Weighing Equipment

Location: On-site – Las Vegas, NV

About the Role

This is a sales-driven position designed for someone who’s hands-on, resourceful, and eager to grow with a fast-paced team. As a key team member, you’ll play a direct role in driving revenue, supporting customers, and assisting with operations across departments. You’ll work closely with leadership, manufacturing, and customer support to help move projects forward and keep business flowing.

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and website
  • Assist customers in selecting the right weighing equipment based on their specific needs
  • Generate quotes, process orders, and manage timely follow-ups to close deals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, dealers, and distributors
  • Support sales efforts across eCommerce platforms including Amazon, eBay, and Shopify
  • Use Salesforce CRM to track leads, manage opportunities, and maintain customer records
  • Follow up on quotes, inquiries, and previous customer activity to ensure satisfaction and generate repeat business

Manufacturing & Technical Support

  • Assist with reviewing and managing CAD drawings to support custom scale designs and ensure all builds meet exact specifications
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to translate customer requirements into manufacturable solutions
  • Gain a deep understanding of our scale product line, including models, configurations, and typical applications
  • Learn core calibration techniques and assist with small troubleshooting tasks to ensure systems function accurately before shipping
  • Support quality control and product testing to verify that final assemblies meet performance standards

Operations & General Support

  • Support day-to-day business operations, working directly with leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Assist with inventory management, shipping/receiving coordination, and logistics follow-through
  • Help manage project timelines, customer orders, and internal task tracking
  • Pitch in across departments—including marketing, admin, and customer service—when needed
  • Assist with improving internal systems, including MRP software, Salesforce CRM, and process documentation
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where flexibility, accountability, and follow-through are key

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in sales, manufacturing, or operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex industrial products
  • Familiarity with CAD software and MRP/CRM systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication, follow-through, and customer service skills
  • Experience in the weighing, measurement, or industrial equipment industry is a strong bonus
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Las Vegas — this is a full-time, on-site position
  • Standard hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • This position reports directly to the CEO
