Job Description

ComResource is hiring a Marketing Web Developer for a client based in Columbus, OH. This is a contract to hire opportunity, with a hybrid work schedule.

The Marketing Web Developer role is responsible for administering and updating the company website and web applications to support business objectives across multiple internal teams. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience aligning web design with user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum performance, and maintaining brand consistency across all digital properties. Responsibilities include collaborating with marketing partners to understand needs and design preferences, applying Company brand standards, developing front- and back-end code, and conducting thorough testing to ensure all operational requirements are met.

Job Accountabilities

  • Build, test, and optimize secure websites to support the evolving business needs of the organization.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance support for the Company website and additional web properties.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, content authors, external vendors, and agencies to deliver a consistent online user experience.
  • Perform routine site audits and ongoing maintenance proactively and as needed.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to create engaging experiences that align with Company marketing objectives.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members and leadership regarding website direction and updates.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to build consensus and generate marketing content including case studies, whitepapers, blog posts, e-books, social posts, video scripts, infographics, emails, and web copy.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3+ years of designing for digital-first and mobile environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience within a B2B marketing environment.
  • Proficiency in Webflow, including Webflow Designer, CMS management, and custom code integration.
  • Experience collaborating closely with marketing teams and working from strategic creative briefs; prior B2B experience preferred.
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience integrating custom code into Webflow environments.
  • Mastery of web development best practices, responsive design, accessibility, and reusable code; ability to optimize pages for speed and scalability.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise and experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush.
  • Experience supporting multilingual websites.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles and UI conventions, with the ability to develop features that enhance UX while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms (MAP) supporting multi-tactic digital campaigns.
  • Experience with third-party integrations and automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make.com).
  • Familiarity with delivering PDF, video, and other file types online.
  • Experience working with web analytics platforms and developing performance reports.
  • Understanding of network diagnostics and analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git) for code management and collaboration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize for functionality, security, and responsiveness.
  • Basic understanding of web security principles and secure coding practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools (Google PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, BrowserStack).
