A large pharmaceutical manufacturing company in the Holly Springs area is seeking a highly organized and proactive Training Coordinator to lead and evolve the training program within the maintenance organization. The coordinator will manage training for full-time employees, contractors, and vendors, ensuring alignment with GMP standards and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Program Leadership: Take ownership of the training program for TOS, starting with Process Maintenance and scaling across all departments.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with EHS, Procurement, the Training Department, local community college, and external vendors to plan and execute training initiatives.
• Vendor & Contractor Training: Coordinate training logistics for contractors and vendors who bring teams onsite for projects.
• Wake Tech Partnership: Work closely with Wake Technical Community College to schedule and submit training programs, including specialized courses like scaffolding inspection, hoisting and rigging, and forklift operation.
• Training Development: Partner with contractors and subject matter experts to develop new training content tailored to technical roles.
• ComplianceWire Administration: Manage training assignments, tracking, and reporting through ComplianceWire, ensuring audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Documentation & Records: Maintain accurate training records in accordance with GMP and internal standards.
• Audit Support: Prepare documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Metrics & Reporting: Track training completion, generate reports, and identify areas for improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with every department within the organization to ensure training needs are met.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong background in training coordination, especially in technical or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO, and other regulatory training requirements.
• Experience with ComplianceWire or similar LMS platforms.
• Understanding of the training needs of maintenance technicians and technical teams.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience.
• Experience developing and coordinating training for contractors and vendors.
• Knowledge of instructional design or adult learning theory.
• Certification in training or instructional design (e.g., CPTM, ATD, etc.).
