SUMMARY
Manufacturing Operator (2nd Shift) for a cGMP-regulated solid oral dosage facility. You’ll run and care for tablet compression lines, verify in-process quality (weights, hardness, thickness, appearance), complete compliant documentation in real time, and keep equipment and areas clean. Initial training occurs on first shift; ongoing role is second shift (Mon–Fri, 12:00pm–8:30pm). Ideal for mechanically inclined, detail-driven operators who want consistent hours, hands-on work, and clear growth in regulated manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Run tablet compression equipment following approved batch records and SOPs; adjust settings to maintain target attributes.
• Perform and record in-process checks (e.g., weights, hardness, thickness, visual) with complete, timely, legible entries.
• Set up, tear down, and change over compression machines and tooling; support line clearance and reconciliation.
• Clean equipment and rooms per SOPs; maintain a safe, orderly, inspection-ready workspace.
• Escalate equipment or product issues promptly; partner with Quality, Maintenance, and peers to keep production on plan.
• Assist with basic maintenance and help troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
• Accurately label, track, and document materials throughout the compression process.
• Join shift handoffs and collaborate to hit daily throughput and quality goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing or machine operation preferred; pharmaceutical experience welcome but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn compression operations.
• Strong attention to detail; able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math for measurements and batch calculations.
• Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, perform repetitive tasks, and wear required PPE (gloves, gowns, masks).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.
• Familiarity with tablet compression concepts or equipment (e.g., Fette, Manesty, Korsch) is a plus; cGMP exposure helpful.
• Will also receive training on encapsulation, cleaning, and documentation practices.
