Manager of Mortgage Processing

Location: Rome, NY - Hybrid: 2 days per week in office, 3 days per week remote

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 (Depending on experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

The Manager of Mortgage Processing will lead and support a team of mortgage processors and real estate administrators to ensure the efficient and high-quality processing of residential mortgage loans. This position plays a crucial role in streamlining processes, enhancing service quality, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide daily support to mortgage processing staff.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and loan processing turnaround times.
• Coach, train, and mentor processing employees to enhance performance and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and secondary market mortgage regulations.
• Monitor team productivity and ensure loan files are completed within service-level standards.
• Support strategic objectives related to mortgage lending and member service.

What We're Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of mortgage processing experience.
• Supervisory experience highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of residential mortgage regulations and processing.
• Experience with mortgage loan systems such as FICS, Symitar, and Meridian Link (or equivalent).
• Skills:
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
