Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join our growing Miami office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense, with at least 3 years of experience handling a broad range of litigation matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle insurance defense cases from inception through trial, including personal injury, property damage, and other liability matters.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel and defend clients in litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials, ensuring the best possible outcome.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy, including settlement discussions and trial preparation.
  • Communicate directly with clients, adjusters, and other stakeholders, ensuring consistent updates on case progress.
  • Research and analyze legal issues to provide sound advice to clients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case files and billing records.

Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • 3 years + of experience in insurance defense litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida insurance laws and regulations.
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
