Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technical Specialist to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and technical services in our laboratory environment. This role is central to maintaining technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Service & Quality Delivery: Execute all job deliverables accurately and on time. Perform rigorous quality assurance (QA) tests on company products prior to service delivery.
• Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support for critical processes, including additive selection and fluid design. Prepare comprehensive laboratory reports and technical presentations for both internal teams and external stakeholders (customers).
• Laboratory Operations & Compliance: Ensure all laboratory equipment is meticulously maintained, calibrated, and kept in clean working order. Conduct regular audits and perform risk analyses before each task to ensure compliance with established laboratory standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements for waste management.
• Collaboration & Improvement: Maintain active communication with Client Support Labs and operational centers. Assist Design/Technical Engineers with required technical and analytical support. Actively participate in customer Service Quality Meetings, contributing to continuous improvement action plans and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• HSE Culture: Champion Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Quality initiatives. Adhere strictly to all mandatory safety training and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and HSE policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience & Education: Prior laboratory experience is required; experience in cementing or oilfield services is a plus. A High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to safety and quality standards. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
• Technical Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data management tools.

Working Environment

This position requires working in a laboratory environment, which involves handling chemicals and specialized testing equipment. Strict adherence to PPE protocols is mandatory. The role may occasionally require extended or flexible hours based on urgent operational needs.
